It is with regret to announce the departure of Joel from the San Andreas County Sheriff's Office Executive Staff Team. This news came as a surprise to me knowing he is the one who is incredibly motivated to push the faction forward. When Joel, Witting and I were brought in to the executive team, we found out that we share the same vision of improving the faction's roleplay quality and public image. Despite my frequent absences in executive meetings due to time zone issues, the Executive Staff has been hard at work to make this possible. At the same time, we have had to jump over roadblocks on every action instead of running smoothly that would've allowed us to continue the flow.
Following Joel's departure, I was appointed as the Sheriff
of the San Andreas County Sheriff's Office. Concurrently, Payne will be sitting in as the Undersheriff after a recommendation and mutual agreement between Menace, Payne, and myself.
To tell the story; I was approached by faction management regarding potential interest in taking full leadership of the faction. In the interest of transparency, it was not an easy discussion and took me three days to come up with a final decision, influenced by the future of my tenure on the server. I assume the faction management team deems me as the most suitable candidate for the leadership position following my sub-leadership experience in the police faction. I initially joined in August 2011 under the leadership of Anthony Kingston and currently serve as the longest-running consecutive faction member, having been here for nearly four years straight and held different ranks ranging from State Trooper to Assistant Sheriff under various faction leaderships including Evans, Wang, Charles, BigD, Jamie, Anderson, Smally, and Joel.
The SASP transition process will continue as normal. The transition committee has already completed a great percentage of the work that is essential for the move, especially division-related work. I want to thank the current division command teams for making the effort throughout the last few months. While I cannot provide an estimated time on the movement, I want to ensure everything is ready before its deployment.
I understand the faction may not take this leadership change lightly, but I am confident to continue what Joel, Witting, and I envisioned for the sake of restoring a positive image to the faction. With the support of the executive team consisting of myself, Payne, Witting, and Lockhart, along with the command team, supervisory team, and you, the faction members, I firmly believe we can make it right and thrive to take the faction in the right direction.
