SAN ANDREAS COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE EXTENDED RECRUITMENT
Written by Deputy Sheriff II Eloise Fitzgerald | #731

San Andreas County Sheriff's Office have extended their recruitment opening, giving everyone the chance to apply up until November 13! This will be the second batch of Academy Students to go through the brand spanking new Sheriff's Office, with the first academy batch now thriving deputies! As a member of the Sheriff's Office since its opening, and someone who has worked within law enforcement for coming up to 3 years now, it was one of the best decisions I ever made, and will be for you, too. If you are considering becoming a Deputy for the state of San Andreas, take a look at the requirements and fill in your applications quick!

Please note that the process to becoming an Academy Student is three stages long, however this shouldn't be daunting to anyone interested in the department as they can be easy to get through. You start off with your application, and if successful, move onto an interview with a member of the Recruitment Unit. These interviews are straightforward and usually done for you to sell yourself to the recruitment officer, and they can see if you'd be a good fit. If successful, you move onto a fitness test, which will test your endurance, stamina and strength. Once you pass your fitness test, then you enter the academy. You must ensure you can attend the academy sessions that have been scheduled for your batch, and if not, apply for a future batch. The academy comes in stages to teach you about the history of the Sheriff's Office, and how to succeed in your role. Once you pass the academy, you are given an examination and only once you pass the exam may you go on patrol with fully-fledged Deputies.

To apply for the San Andreas County Sheriff's Office, you must:

  • Be 21 years old or over
  • Have a high school diploma
  • Possess a General Vehicle License
  • Be able to stay calm under pressure and have an open mind
  • Be dedicated to the Sheriff's Office
  • Be knowledgeable in regards to the San Andreas Penal Code
  • Have a clean criminal record (minor traffic offences may be discounted)
  • Have a fixed address, a motel will suffice as long as it is long-term accommodation

Before you submit your application, you must ensure you have set time aside to dedicate to the department as the time from submitting your application to passing your field training will take a few weeks.

The academy sessions and field training dates are as follows:

  • Academy Session #1: November 17, 2017 (Friday) at 3:00 PM
  • Academy Session #2: November 18, 2017 (Saturday) at 12:00 PM
  • Academy Examination Handout: November 19, 2017 (Sunday)
  • Field Training Induction: November 22, 2017 (Wednesday) at 4:00 PM
  • Graduation Ceremony: December 2, 2017 (Saturday) at 5:00 PM

You have nothing to lose when you apply for the Sheriff's Office!

Due to the fact we failed to advertise on a large scale publicly - we've had to extend it. The wait will be worth it.

Is the ASB budget genuinely so low that all y'all can afford is a new header compared to the State Police public affairs?

Wouldn't have to extend the recruitment stage if people weren't denied for such dumb reasons.

Ahh, perfect. I know a lot of people that want to join but didn't have much time, now it's a big bump up for them. Also congratulations to the ones that have already made it in as an Academy Student, good luck in the near future and hopefully I'll get to work with you all. But this extension is just great, both for the civilians and the department itself.
